This past weekend...

Well, I know this is a little late, but I wanted to share things from this past weekend...even with pictures! :) After our neighbors from SC left, Rusty and I scurried around to get a diaper-banner ready for a baby shower that I (Rachel) was going to on Sunday. We got it done and delivered it to a friend who was going to set it up. Rusty and I went and ran some errands.

Since being homeowners, Lowe's has become our most favorite store! We went to Lowe's to look at the prices of lawnmowers...our's died a while back and we've been borrowing a friend's mower and weed eater. Though we didn't come away with a mower, we did get some serious lawn tools, including a snow shovel, tree clippers and ....a CHAINSAW!! Ahhh!!! Well, for those of you who don't know, Louisville was hit with some hurricane force winds back in September and one of our neighbor's trees fell into our drive way, crushing part of his fence and just barely missing Rusty's scooter and our garage. Well, it has taken until this weekend for it to be cleaned up. He kept assuring us that he was going to hire someone to take the tree apart and out of our driveway. He got rid of all the small branches himself, but the main trunk was left and we still couldn't drive all the way up. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands! We trimmed off the remaining branches and were left with a bare trunk. Here is Rusty starting up our new little chainsaw to get the tree out of our driveway! :) We actually ended up not using it...but it was a fun adventure nonetheless! When we yanked on the tree, it turned out that it had actually snapped in two when it fell, so we just hauled the trunk to the road. Yay!!

Then (!!), on Sunday, while I was at the baby shower, Rusty surprised me by cleaning out our sunroom, which had been a catch-all for all of our projects and moved in our beautiful bar table just where I wanted it. What a great surprise to see things coming together! Here is a picture so you can enjoy just how wonderful my husband is!! :)
