So much to catch up on...

This past weekend, Raven & Chad came to visit us! Rusty and I had such a great time spending the weekend with them...and the tee-tiny baby that is growing in Raven's belly! We wanted to make sure that we saw them while she was still able to drive, so they were kind enough to plan a weekend trip for their early anniversary! They got in Friday night, after a long day of driving. We had dinner, hung out and went to bed early.

The next day we got up fairly early and went to our new favorite place...you guessed it...the Blue Dog Cafe! Raven & Chad liked it too! We each had an amazing cappuccino and a wonderful pastry for breakfast. We are going to have to start bringing all of our Louisville guests to this cafe! The only problem is...is that they are closed on Sunday and Monday, so a lot of the times, we miss them. But, we know for sure that they are open on Saturday mornings!

After breakfast, we headed over the river to Schimpff's...the wonderful candy factory that we take everyone to. I think they were gearing up for Easter, so we saw them make their biggest batch of red hots ever...50lbs! Well, not that they haven't made that big of a batch before, but we just haven't seen it :) We love Schimpff's and the owners are actually starting to recognize us because of how many times we show up there with family.

We headed home for lunch and then out to the park for a run/walk. I think Raven & Chad were still cramped up from that long drive from North Augusta! It was such a beautiful day and most of Louisville was out doing something. It was the first time we had seen temperatures reach the 70's since September. (So, just to let you know that the nice weather stayed this weekend, and today the high is 34 and they are calling for snow...) We were glad to be out in the sun for however short of a time that it lasted!

That evening, we went to the Irish Rover for dinner and enjoyed just hanging out that night. On Sunday, we went to church and enjoyed Daniel preaching about the sacrifices out of Leviticus. It was a great sermon and taught a lot of good truths! We headed home for lunch and a brief nap. Then movie time and dinner...and sadly, our weekend was coming to a close. Our friends left on Monday morning for the super long trip. They made it home safely :) We were so very happy to have them up and can't wait to see them again...in September, when the little baby will be born! :)
