Mosaic Madness!

Well, I will get you caught up on what I've been doing in the evenings/any spare time I have...MOSAICS!! Yay!! I was amply supplied at Christmas by Mamma Vicki and Daddy Russell to begin the ladybug mosaic that my sister wanted done for Alissa...But, in the meantime, I had to finish my carnation mosaic...so, here are the pics in order (sorry, no ladybug beginning pictures):

Here I am, excited that I have gotten the top of the mosaic done:

Here is the beginning of the grouting process; looks like a yummy cake, huh?

No eating grout...it's bad for you!

Here I am rinsing off the grout...such a very, very, very long process!

More rinsing....

Here it is...It needs to dry a little more before we do the second layer of grout on the tiny gaps that form when you spread out the first layer...but, here is the main idea :)

Close up of the ladybug and her reflection...sorry for the flash... Here is the ladybug in all her glory...I finished the top and one side last night *super excited*
