Well, last Saturday was my birthday! On Friday night, Rusty and I went to see the Gettys to start off my bday celebration. It was a great concert and encouraged both of us through the hearing of God's truth through awesome gospel-centered songs.
On Saturday morning, we went to breakfast at the Blue Dog Cafe. We have been wanting to go for some time and were able to use a gift card that Rusty got for his birthday! So, our breakfast (Rusty's chocolate croissant and my cinnamon, maple and pecan pastry with our two cappuccinos) was only $1.25! :) We had a great time reminiscing about our Italy trip we took a few years ago. The food reminded us so much of that time!
After breakfast, we headed out to go shopping. I have been wanting to go shopping for some clothes for a while, so we headed to Kohls and Marshalls. We ended the day at Caffe Classico...one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville. We had salads and pizza...we would have ended our day with more delicious coffee, but the restaurant lost its power half way through our meal. We waited around for a little bit and decided to head home. (What is with this city and power outages??) I opened presents and we ate our ice cream (instead of cake). It was a fabulous birthday! It was really special because of all the phone calls I received with birthday wishes. It was great to feel so loved! :)
