I know what you are saying...when someone like me is so scared of driving on ice and snow, why would you go to the mountains in January?? Well, go we did and we had a blast! A group of us drove Gatlinburg on Friday afternoon. We had a 4 bedroom cabin with a loft with a king sized bed. So, we had a bedroom for each of the couples that came with us to the mountains. It was an amazing cabin...so huge! The second group of us drove down and got to the cabin around midnight. Everyone arrived safely! Quite a feat in the pitch dark on mountain roads!

On Saturday a group of us headed into Gatlinburg to visit the Aquarium...it was a great time! It was huge! Rusty and I went there on our honeymoon, so it was so much fun to revisit it about 3 years later. Our favorite animals this time were the amazing jelly fish. They were so peaceful and pretty that you could almost forget your terrifying fear of being stung by them in the ocean. :) But, isn't God's creation beautiful?

We had a great time of fellowship at the cabin. The main goal during the trip was to spend time with each other and to grow in fellowship. In addition to hanging out, each of the guys taught a brief lesson on a different subject. We had a session in the morning and evening. It was great to hear from each of the guys in our group. We were able to hear God's truth each day and it was

encouraging in all of our lives. Here is Dan putting the finishing touches on his lesson as Blake and Rusty play chess in the background. A new favorite game was Risk. I think the boys got 2 games in during the weekend. Here is Kevin and Wes positioning to take over the world...Wes is pep talking his troops to instill courage as Kevin gets ready for world domination.
We had a great time together and were sad to leave. Here is some of our group looking down from the loft Rusty and I stayed in :) We love our Community Group!
