Donald & Sarah's wedding in Charleston...

So about 2 weeks ago, Rusty and I ran down to Charleston, SC for Donald & Sarah's (now Dickert) wedding. It was such a wonderful time of relaxing for Rusty and me. I was able to take 2 days off of work (yay!). We drove down on Thursday night, which was just a little brutal...getting into Columbia around 3:30 AM on Friday morning. But, we were able to sleep in a bit, head to BB&B for a quick wedding present and scoot off to Charleston to check into our hotel and get to the rehearsal by 4:00.

Here is Rusty going though his homely a few more times before the big day. He did such a wonderful job up there the day of the wedding. I wish I had taken some photos, but being seated on the second row, right up front, I felt a little conspicuous taking pictures.

They had chosen a beautiful location to have the wedding. It was the back yard of a large home that was situated right on the Ashley River. What a gorgeous place! Here we are at the rehearsal. It had just finished raining, just in time for us to take our places.

They had the reception on sight, just to the left of the ceremony. You really couldn't have asked for a better setting for such a wonderful occasion. The day of the ceremony was very bright and sunny, so all of the guests were very glad to get into the covered reception area once it was time.
Here is the lovely couple sharing their first dance. It was such a sweet occasion. Donald and Sarah did a great job at making every one of us feel special, even though it was their day. We love our dear friends.
Best buddies!!
Here we are enjoying the beautiful sunset with the house behind us.
And, here is the sunset Jesus gave Donald and Sarah for their wedding. What a wonderful gift...I think this one might be a mosaic in the making... :)
